How it works
Formula
Cubic Feet = L × W × (Depth ÷ 12) • Tons = (Cu Ft × 145) ÷ 2000 (asphalt density ≈ 145 lb/ft³)
Worked example
A 40 × 12 ft driveway at 2 in compacted depth = 80 ft³. (80 × 145) ÷ 2000 ≈ 5.8 tons of hot mix.
